I’m a web developer, project manager, barbershop harmony enthusiast, and lover of trivia; working in Guelph and living in Fergus, Ontario.
I work as a Full Stack Developer with Farm Health Guardian, where I build and maintain digital tools that support biosecurity in the agri-food sector. Previously, I served as a Digital Team Lead for Synthesis Agri-Food Network, managing projects and expanding the reach of digital products for clients. With experience in both project management and software development, I bring a problem-solving mindset to creating and optimizing technology solutions for the industry.
I am proud to serve as chair on the board of directors with the TESS Research Foundation, a patient-led non-profit organization determined to improve the lives of those affected by SLC13A5 Epilepsy, by funding research, spreading awareness, and supporting families affected by this rare genetic disorder. You can learn more about the disorder in this short primer video.
I’m also heavily involved in barbershop singing. I sing lead in my barbershop quartet, ‘Shoptimus Prime, 2015 International Collegiate Quartet silver medalists. You might have heard us in Cuphead. I’m also a member of the Toronto Northern Lights, 2013 International Barbershop Chorus Champions, and serve as chair of the History & Archives and Bylaws, Operations, & Procedures Committees of the Ontario District of the Barbershop Harmony Society. I’m proud to be a past President of the organization as well.
I’m a snare drummer with the Fergus Pipe Band, and I’m also on the board of AgScape, which helps bring agriculture and food education into Ontario classrooms.
Along with website manager for TNL, the Ontario District, TESS, and the Fergus Pipe Band, I also manage or assist with managing the websites for other charities including Sing Canada Harmony, and Harmonize For Speech.
The rest of the time, you can find me hanging out with my wife Amber and son Rowan, solving or constructing a crossword puzzle, making custom websites, enjoying a good beer, listening to a podcast, or looking for my next project or opportunity. Think you’ve got an idea for that project? Drop me a line and let me know how I can help you. I love a new challenge!
You can find me on social media—Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn—but I’m not very active on any of them.
